Over the few days before Xenovere 2's release, the embargo on releasing footage of the final build was broken. We here at The Time Nest will not be talking about what was shown, but will be doing our own review of the game, with spoilers, starting on the 28th of October when the game is released everywhere. What Exactly Happened? As far as can be seen, something happened over at Bandai Namco EU that led to many Dragon Ball Youtubers in the EU getting the game earlier than intended. A lot of Dragon Ball Youtubers are given the game early anyways, but usually only a day or two beforehand. Many youtubers in the EU who got the game quickly started releasing footage. Whether it be through livestreams or actual uploads of footage, everything was out there. Roster, story, and everything in between. The AftermathThough it took around a day, many of the youtubers who released footage have been given copyright strikes. Many people are angry with these youtubers due to the fact of them seemingly using the breaking of the embargo to get views. As well as the fact that many people have now been spoiled when it comes to the story. Bandai Namco did as much clean up as possible, but a few youtubers have slipped through the cracks. What should be learned from this experience is that in our pursuit to make content, we should still remember the rules put in place. In this case, the risk majorly outweighed the reward and those that took the risk have paid the price for it. Related Articles

This is a rundown of everything new/confirmed on the Bandai Xenoverse 2 stream on 10/13/16. Spoilers for Super and Xenoverse 2 will follow, so beware.
Goku Black
The first major part of the stream was gameplay of the Day 1/Pre-Order bonus character, Goku Black. He seems to play slightly differently than Goku himself, with new moves as well. Two of his unique moves were shown off. His ki blade, which is currently unnamed, and his Black Kamehameha. The Ki Blade seems to slash back and forth 3 times, unlike the Sauzer Blade, it has a faster startup time. His Black Kamehameha appears to be the same as a normal Kamehameha used for an ultimate. It is currently unknown how many ki bars it takes as well as what kind of damage it deals. It can be assumed that his level of power in the games is around that of Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, as that was the character he was shown fighting.
Another unknown thing about Black is if he will have his personal Super Saiyan form, Super Saiyan Rosé. It could possibly be added later in through a free update if he does not have it. Many fans were also questioning if he had a Potara Earring as it was not visible in the first images released (referring to image above). It was shown, and confirmed on Twitter, that he does in fact have his Potara Earring.

Expert Missions
During the stream, a previously unseen Expert Mission was shown off alongside the two tutorial missions from the beta. This was an Expert Mission revolving around Golden Freeza. When the click hit about 11 minutes, he fired off the gigantic ki blast the bosses fire. This attack quickly made it apparent that teamwork is necessary. The human and NPC players could not knock the blast back no matter how hard they tried due to what seemed to be a lack of all six players fighting back at once.
When the blast hit, it nearly wiped the player team. It was enough to bring a Beerus down to almost nothing. The team continued to fight back, and it was clear the only thing keeping them alive was the coordination. Many could say it seems too easy due to the fact that with 6 characters beating up 1 normal sized character leads to a complete destruction of the single character. This was quickly shown not to be the case when Golden Freeza became his new villainous form after taking a certain amount of damage. There was an apparent increase in difficulty as the player team was wiped within a couple minutes. Other
With Xenoverse 2’s release date of October 25, 2016 quickly approaching, many problems have arisen. Whether it be how something looks or how a certain mechanic works, everyone has their problems. These range from things such as character creation all the way to the roster, which are the two major problems. We here at The Time Nest would like to note that these problems are based on leaks and early build footage and may be subject to change. Problem 1: The Roster A recent leak has shown that there are at least 87 playable characters in Xenoverse 2. With the 58 (59 including the Created Character) characters from the original game returning, fans were expecting even more added to an already abundant roster. But almost the exact opposite happened. “Roster choice [is a major problem].” said by twitter user @T-Dub_Gaming when asked what their biggest problem with the game as of yet was. To elaborate on the meaning of this, we need to take a look at the actual revealed roster of Xenoverse 2.
That’s not the only problem though. One other major problem the fans have is the lack of character transformations. What this means is that for any character that is not a Super Saiyan their transformation is another character. Freeza has 3 of his usual 5 forms (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Final and 100%) and each is a different character slot. Many fans wanted more of Cell in the last game since we only got his Perfect and Super Perfect forms. Their wish was granted with the inclusion of Imperfect Cell. But much like Freeza, he did not get all of his forms and they are all still separate characters. Even characters like Great Saiyaman and Saiyawoman who were variations of their base characters (Gohan and Videl) are considered their own individual characters now. The third major problem people have with Xenoverse 2 is the lack of certain characters. Many fans feel cheated by the fact that ‘Villainous Forms’ and transformations got their own slots, but not characters people really want. The community as a near whole is crying out ‘Lies!’ at the words of Bandai Namco and Dimps who promised ‘The Most Detailed’ Dragon Ball game ever. People in the community have taken polls and made videos talking about characters they want. While some characters have been put in, many are questioning the lack of others. A lot of fans have cried out for an inclusion of Super Boo’s alternate forms. “I’d like to add the many absorptions of Super Buu. (Buuhan, Buutenks, Etc.)” said twitter user @MrNinjaStar75 when asked about a character he would like added in. Dimps has stated that they would be willing to add characters in later updates within Xenoverse 2’s life cycle. A lot of fans have taken this as a statement that the wanted characters will be paid DLC possibly. Only time will tell how Dimps will take this outcry from fans towards the roster. Problem 2: Character Creation Character Creation was one of the selling points for the original Xenoverse and with its new added features, it still is for Xenoverse 2. But with new features, comes a lack of features many wanted.
The new complaint by people is not the Saiyan transformation, but the transformations of some of the other races. Mainly the Majin race. “The Majin Boo transformation. You literally turn into Kid Boo.” said twitter user @2000lolguy when asked about his main problem with Xenoverse 2 so far. While many characters keep movesets they already have or change to an alternate moveset, the Majin transformation gives you the attacks of Kid Boo. Along with the fact that it turns your created character into Kid Boo, just a different color. The disappointment from this is enough to drive fans away from Majins to make their characters another race. With many problems in the way of its path to success, fans still seem to agree that it will be a good game. There has been worse and there has been better. Xenoverse 2 will most likely be looked upon as a good game, but a possibly failed sequel based on fans’ current reactions.
Even with a lack of accuracy in some cases, many say that new fans should watch the anime first. While many others say that it is the manga that should be the introduction. With its larger overall accuracy and little changes from version to version. Original Release The manga was originally released in Shonen Jump on a pretty much weekly basis by chapter. Of course this is the most accurate and unedited version, but is pretty much unobtainable in modern day and is only in Japanese. The Black And White Era The Tankōbon format is one of the most accurate releases despite its completely grayscale format of the colored pages that were in the Shonen Jump magazine. “The Tankōbon was always just kind of a classic way to go back to it.” said Kendamu, a manga enthusiast in the Dragon Ball community. “It’s really hard to go wrong with the Tankōbon.” After the Tankōbon, came the Kanzenban, or perfect edition, release in 2002. Many fans collect the Tankōbon format, barely acknowledging the Kanzenban. This set was released with special guides in every other collection as well as the colored pages put back in. It also had a slightly changed ending to wrap things up more tightly. So it is not Toriyama’s original piece through and through, while the alternate ending is still written by him. Both sets came with the extra chapter involving Future Trunks. "Torankusu za Sutōrī -Tatta Hitori no Sensh-" otherwise known as "Trunks The Story -The Lone Warrior-." While both came with this extra chapter, its placement in the Tankōbon is much more fitting. While in the Kanzenban it is placed in the last volume, in the Tankōbon it is in volume 33. Volume 33 was the beginning of the Cell Games. Which actually fits perfectly as it was right after the first episode involving the Cell Games did the TV special version air. This may lead some to want to buy the Tankōbon more. Both sets have their upsides.
A Swing And A Miss The 3-in-1s came before the Full Colors, but are all but useless now. Due to mishaps in printing, censored versions were released. This caused fan outrage and the problems were fixed for later 3-in-1 releases. These basically collected 3 Tankōbon volumes into 1 giant one. Many fans bought these versions, expecting no censorship as advertised. But like stated before, they were censored. Whether it was intentional or not, the censorship made these versions of the manga basically useless to many fans who seeked an uncensored and barely edited version.
